Loafing in the Sun Day 2

There was plenty we could've done in Palm Springs - but our house was so idyllic and we so needed the rest, that we chose to just loaf for another day!

Hub cleaned out the car (heck, it needed it!), while I made breakfast and then we went swimming!

The boys had a race.

And I gave a marvellous display of the art of backstroke (filmed by hub, whose camera does not have sound .....)

Paul also did a little solo swimming which, to be frank, was rubbish, compared to mine!

After lunch, we decided to drive the short distance to Palm Desert and the Scrapbook shop!! Wow - I've never seen anything like it! HUGE! There was a whole wall (about the size of a small supermarket!) just filled with rolls of stickers! I was a little lost amongst all this and dithered a lot - but I finally picked up a decent basketful of stuff!!

We did a little more grocery shopping in the store next door and then slowly drove back to the house. I wanted to try to capture the sheer number of palm trees in the area, but the photos really don't do that!

Then we just loafed, swam a little more, swept up the decks and got our bags packed for the morning. We would miss the peace and relaxation of this place.
