THE GREAT DAY HAD ARRIVED!
| Meanie was so excited the night before his BIG DAY, that he slept in his big bed (in Los Angeles) with Picalilli (though not too closely). The magic sounds of the city lulled both to sleep. The sirens wailing - the police helicopters hovering overhead - the drunken shrieks in the dark. |  |
 | In the morning, Meanie spent a great deal of time in the bathroom. He cleaned his teeth until they gleamed - and he washed behind his ears and between his toes. |
| There was time for some last-minute sunbathing on the balcony sun-bed. |  |
 | And for a game of hide 'n' seek with Picalilli (though, in truth, that bear was so short-sighted it was all rather a waste of time). |
But soon it was time to depart for HOLLYWOOD!
