GOODNESS GRACIOUS!!

Our results came out a few hours ago - but I am still quite speechless!

FINISHED!!

For details, see blog.

For the record, my marks for the course were:

u316marks.jpg - 43871 Bytes
Which are good marks - but everything depends on that ECA ... If I can pick up 70% or more for that, then that will give me a Grade 2 pass, which I will be more than happy with.

14th April

Well, this is a decent start! :)

16th January

I've now started a blog where I'll put comments etc about this course. 'Actual' activities will still be put on the block pages. Or I think so. I don't know what I'm doing, to be honest!!

13th January 2005

Well, here we go! I received the first lot of materials this morning - and, on first glance through, I think I'm going to like this course! Included in the mailing were the first 2 coursebooks, the World Resources book (contents below), CD-ROM, etc. The course doesn't officially start until 5th February, but we can 'get sorted'. We can't do an awful lot as yet though, because the website doesn't open until 27th - and that's where the 'activities' are based - as well as discussions on the FC conference (also not opening until 27th).

I shall put all matters, concerning each block (including book contents and activities) on separate pages for each (links above).

4th November 2004

Nearly ready to go! All registered - exams behind me (but busy doing short courses).

An interesting 60-point 3rd level course, based on environmental issues on the web.

Summary

This interdisciplinary course examines contemporary issues such as biodiversity and climate change in order to develop your environmental literacy and enable you to take part in informed debate and action. It explores environmental materials on the worldwide web, used by individuals, business, government, NGOs and international organizations to publish data, implement policy, debate issues and promulgate views. The course teaches you how to navigate through these materials, and how to analyse and evaluate information.

There is no exam!
