Woke VERY early (as it was light!), but went back to sleep for a while, after having a peek out the window for a first glance at the surrounding vineyards, olives, etc - idyllic! We had some brekky and then sat around the pool. "Sitting around the pool", is so much lovelier when it's your own private pool, surrounded by beautiful scenery - paradise!
Paul finally got up and we drove to Silves to do some shopping in Modelo supermarket.
Tortilla and salad for lunch, and then swimming! Paul and I took it in turns to use the spotty dog rubber ring a as a buoyancy aid! Paul is much better (and braver) and I - but I did float and "swim" a bit.
We drove into Praia da Rocha and walked along the beautiful beach for a while, before Terry tried to kill us all by driving on the wrong side of the road!
We parked at Portimao harbour for a while, but we were very tired (and a bit sunburnt) and went to McDonald's for grub and than had a look around the Portimao shopping centre (mall) - then back to the villa (went the wrong way and nearly into Monchique!) just before sunset.
