Everything went to plan today - how strange! We were all showered and packed up to go by 11:00am and off we went to Loule! We parked up and walked to the "artisan's street" and bought lots of goodies (oops - forgot to say that we'd got stuck in an alley and had a dozen local lads moving bollards and signs for us!). We also walked up to the centre and through the market - pleasant enough place.
We then decided, as we had some time to spare, to return to the Forum Algarve for eats - and we had rolls (a step up from McD's) in the food hall.
We were parking up at Faro airport in very good time - put our new purchases (and my pillow!) in our cases and left the car (although Luis wasn't there).
We checked in. Horror of horrors, so did THOMAS!!!! We sat in the bar. Then we got on the plane (so did THOMAS, but he was mercifully not near us and, anyway, was quiet!). All very orderly and ON TIME!
The plane was an Embraer 195 - a tiny little thing (4 seats wide), which sounded a bit like a sewing machine! However, the seats were leather and comfortable and the flight (which I spent checking Portuguese property prices and doing the crossword in the paper) was good.
Landed at Exeter in the rain and were greeted by 2 armed (to the teeth) policemen at passport control. And then we went home.
