Woke late and felt awful + depressed (must be something to do with having to fly home to the cold and wet tomorrow) - but how sinful to be depressed amongst all this beauty! ![]() ![]() We drove up to the Rua Formosa and parked - but the nature walk was too far (I'd forgotten my shoes and was wearing flip-flops - d'oh), then to Olhao; parked by the harbour and then to their McD's. ![]() ![]() Next stop was the Forum Algarve, Faro - 200 shops and a fountain - a much better mall than ours and FREE parking! There was a C&A - I miss them. I bought a Brazilian scrapbooking mag (of course, in Portuguese!). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then we had a stroll around Faro's harbour area and watched the planes landing for a while. ![]() ![]() ![]() Next, a stop at Luz de Taviro to look at some doorway on the south side of the church ... ![]() ![]() hmm, must look up again exactly what it is about that door .... Decided then to go to Quatro Aguas (just outside Tavira) and couldn't resist taking the boat to Ilha de Tavira!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We didn't stay long though, as, although gone 6:00pm, it was still very warm and the queues were long for the boat back. We decided to use up our supplies for dinner - so had sandwiches before watching a bit of the Diana concert. A bomb went off in Glasgow - don't know much detail, but there's extra security and flight delays all over the place. |
