TALC
Thin tabular crystals are formed by talc. It can also occur in massive, compact, foliated and fibrous habits. The colour is pale to dark green, grey, brownish, or white. It is the lowest on moh's hardness scale (1) and so is therefore obviously easily scratched (by anything). It forms by the alteration of ultrabasic igneous rocks and dolomites. And, yes, it is where "talcum powder" comes from. Makes you think twice now, huh? (You really shouldn't use it; is there really any need?) It's used in making paint too!
