VERONA v PARMA

Sunday 28th January, 2.00pm ko (GMT)

Verona 0 Parma 2
Di Viao 37', 59'

Verona is a nice place. The first time we went there was unintentional. We were caught in a dreadfully frightening storm on the motorway, coming down through the mountains, which resulted in flash floods. It was terrifying. We came off the motorway as soon as we could and sheltered in a little hotel, just outside Verona - called the "something Elephant". I might not remember the name - but I remember the kind lady inside, who made us cappuccino's and tried very hard to communicate with us. The 2nd time was intentional - and, indeed, Verona is a very fine city. The best thing about is is that the McDonald's is so easy to find (a bit thin on the ground in Italy, they are). That Juliet's balcony is not easy to find (there being a balcony on just about every single house), is neither here nor there. A very nice place indeed. A pity then, really, that we chose these to inflict our first win in eons on.

I had the radio on - but I confess, I didn't really listen. (Was far too intent watching the scum being mangled by the super 'ammers! Oh, and afterwards, the return of our Super Mario after a long absence. Still, he couldn't manage to answer his mail though.)

I don't have a lot to say therefore - except, that is - thank you Arrigo for having the guts to drop Amoroso! Or Is He Injured??
