Day 7, Saturday 20th June

Today was one of those days you'd sooner not bother with. Our last day and it was kind of solemn. I have only one photos (on flickr) of this day - which says it all really! We went to A-Beach and sat there a while. But it was windy and nobody felt like going in the water. Then we drove down to Kona to get a bag to take on the plane, as we had a few bits to take home with us. We went to Walmart and bought one in there - but I was disappointed, because I yearned for a box of their yummy 4th July buns and they didn't have a bakery! The vog was as bad as when we had driven through earlier in the week - it hadn't lifted at all. How miserable. From there, we drove back to Queen's Shops at Waikoloa, bought a few souvenirs and had fish and chips for supper (this time ono, which is Hawaiian for 'best' - appropriately so!) Then we packed up ready to leave in the morning. It was sad. Oh, and, as per the instructions, I had to wash and dry all the towels, bar one for each of us, before we went to bed!
