Day 4 - Sunday 24th June

Oh, sunny again! And the dog was back. Terry frightened it off with the pool poll .... it is a stray, according to Helen, who appeared just as I was photographing Meanie and Owl in the rubber ring in the pool!!

After lunch, we went "swimming" again, with the spotty dog. After a lot of effort, I finally managed a whole width (!) - and it wore me out! Then we drove up the scenic route to Monchique, past billions of orange and lemon groves. There was a fantastic view across the Algarve, from Foia.

Then we drove around Monchique looking for petrol ... (didn't find any) and then walked around the square at Monquiche, with a wonderful smell of mimosa, and bought a pot and a cork postcard.

Then we decided to drive up to Silves for piri-piri (I really fancied piri-piri) - but we ended up at Suzie's Bistro. Paul had a tuna salad (complete with strawberries and kiwi fruit), while Terry and I had chicken breast (quite unrecognisable) in red wine, leek and plum sauce ... chips and salad (complete with strawberries and kiwi fruit). I ate the chips - mostly with my fingers as the cutlery was filthy.

Then we went up to the cathedral, took a few photos

and then drove back to camp for more of Glastonbury. The Who. Such a noise.

Lisboa tomorrow!
